Atlanta United will be without forward Tyler Wolff after the forward suffered a right MCL sprain during Saturday’s 2-1 loss to Minnesota United at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Surgery will not be required, according to the team.

Wolff, a Homegrown player, is expected to miss 4-6 weeks.

The injury occurred when Wolff, who subbed on in the 66th minute, was landed on by a Minnesota player in the second half. Wolff was subbed off in the 90th minute.

Wolff has eight appearances, including four starts, this season. He hasn’t scored or provided an assist. He has 43 appearances, including 17 starts, in his career with five goals and two assists.

Wolff’s injury leaves manager Gonzalo Pineda thin at the position with just three healthy players remaining: Xande Silva, also coming off an injury, Saba Lobjanidze and Edwin Mosquera. Atlanta United traded Derrick Etienne to Toronto two weeks ago.

Atlanta United is scheduled to host Charlotte Independence in the U.S. Open Cup on Tuesday at Kennesaw State.
