Winter produce may not have the diversity of warmer months, but that doesn’t mean you can’t get hearty vegetables, fruits and locally made products at area farmers markets.

Most farmers markets in metro Atlanta run from spring to late fall, but some operate year-round. Here’s when and where to find them.
♦ Atlanta
• Grant Park Farmers Market will have a winter market for the first time this year. It will be held at Eventide Brewing every Sunday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
• Freedom Farmers Market operates from Saturdays 9 a.m. to noon in January and February, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. from March through December. You can find the market at the Carter Center, 453 Freedom Parkway NE.
• Morningside Farmers Market operates year-round on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Find them 1393 N. Highland Ave. NE.
• Emory University (now officially in the city of Atlanta) hosts a farmers market every Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Cox Hall Bridge on campus. The market is only closed when there are no classes.
♦ Fulton County
• Truly Living Well, a food co-op based in East Point, hosts its own farmers market each Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at 2757 East Point St. in East Point.
♦ Cobb County
• The Marietta Square Farmers Market operates year-round on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon.
♦ Gwinnett County
• The Suwanee Farmers Market is the only one in the county that operates year-round. Instead of occurring weekly, as it does in warmer months, it is held on the second Saturday of each month from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Suwanee's Town Center Park.
