A Forest Park man has been arrested for allegedly robbing several banks throughout metro Atlanta.

MacKenzie Nathaniel Brunson, 27, has been accused of robbing Fifth Third banks in Atlanta, Lake City and Conyers along with Cobb and DeKalb counties, according to Smyrna police.

The department said in a news release that Brunson was arrested by Conyers police on Nov. 9 after Atlanta police received an anonymous tip from Crime Stoppers the day before.

From the tip and other investigative information, police compared surveillance footage to Brunson’s mugshot.

Smyrna police said that Brunson walked into the Fifth Third at 2197 S. Smyrna Drive about 2:30 p.m. on Oct. 14.

The cops said he allegedly gave the teller a note that appeared to be a page torn out of a book, which was tested for fingerprints.

Investigators figured out that the page was from a book by author and activist Sister Souljah named "A Moment of Silence: Midnight III."

Cops found a copy of the book with that page missing in his vehicle.

After his arrest, police say that Brunson admitted to all of the bank robberies.

He remains in Rockdale County jail, records show.
