Meriah Schoen of Atlanta received an Outstanding Graduate Student award from Georgia State University for her outstanding academic performance and professional contributions to the field of nutrition.

Nkiruka Achionye of Lithonia received the Academic Excellence award from Georgia State University's Byrdine F. Lewis School of Nursing and Health Profession's Department of Respiratory Therapy.

William Ricker of Acworth, James Cox of Covington, Brian Smetana of Duluth, Monique Mbarga of Kennesaw, Edward Beaver of Marietta, Mickey White of Stockbridge and Jeremy and Joelle Jump of Woodstock were named to Troy University's provost's list.

Helen Francis, Gloria Murray and Hanh Pham of Atlanta, Eduardo Munoz, Lawrenceville and Vi Huynh of Morrow were named to The College of Wooster's dean's list.

Chinita Allen of Chalker Elementary School received a $7,500 check for her work improving student achievement from Atlanta Families' Awards for Excellence in Education.
