While parts of metro Atlanta were basically snow free Sunday, areas to the north continued to have spotty road conditions.

Marietta schools announced Sunday afternoon that they will be closed Monday “out of an abundance of caution.”

State road officials said the worst had passed, but school officials remain wary of shady neighborhood streets, where ice could linger, creating danger for school buses.
