Another teenager has been arrested in connection with a shooting that injured an 8-year-old girl, police said.

Jaiden Chatman, 17, of Warner Robins, is in custody, DeKalb County police spokesman Lt. Lonzy Robertson said Thursday.

“Thanks to our Gang Unit, the alleged driver of the blue vehicle that started the shooting on Clifton Church Road is in custody,” Robertson said in a statement.

Another 17-year-old, Curtis Trimble of Clayton County, was arrested Wednesday, police said. He and Chatman are charged with two counts of aggravated assault, according to jail records.

The girl was an innocent bystander in a vehicle when gunfire broke out involving two other cars, Channel 2 Action News reported. She was shot in the buttocks, police said.

The incident may be linked to car thefts in the area, according to authorities.
