The Museum of Design Atlanta is offering unlimmited free membership to kids.

A local museum is offering unlimited free admission to kids and an accompanying adult.

The Museum of Design Atlanta has announced Design Club, aimed at allowing kids who are 17 years old or younger an opportunity to visit their facility.

In addition to being able to tour the museum’s exhibits for free, Design Club members will also have access to a newsletter with “unique design challenges” and invitations to activities that “empower youth to use design and design thinking to face real world challenges they encounter in everyday life,” according to a press release.

The Museum of Design Atlanta raised money through the City of Atlanta Office of Cultural Affris Powwer2Give Program earlier this year to support this initiative. Individual and donor contributors were asked to make donations that were matched by the City of Atlanta during the event. Local and international designers also made donations to support Design Club.

The Museum of Design Atlanta has housed exhibits on design, graphics and fashion for more than 25 years.

The museum is open from noon-6 p.m. Tuesdays through Sunday. On Saturday, the museum opens at 10 a.m.

Visit museumofdesign.org to learn more about Design Club and learn about the museum's current and future exhibits.

To sign up for the membership club, you’ll have to visit the museum. Online registration is not available.
