When Kirby Smart gave his opening remarks at SEC Media Days, he didn’t mention anything about winning NASCAR races.

But Dawsonville native and diehard Georgia sports fan Chase Elliott used the head coach's speech as inspiration to fuel him to his first NASCAR cup victory Sunday.

Earlier in the year, Elliott repped the Bulldogs at the Atlanta Motor Speedway.

His shoutout to Smart hyped up many fans on Twitter.

But the Bulldogs weren’t the only team to celebrate Elliott’s win. The Braves also joined in with a special shoutout from Baseball Hall of Famer Chipper Jones.
