Updated Falcons’ free agency tracker: Should Falcons go after Harris?

Former Tucker High and East Carolina standout Dwayne Harris was released by the Giants on Thursday.

Andre Roberts, the Falcons returner last season, was signed by the Jets on Saturday. Roberts made $1.8 million last season. Harris made $3 million with the Giants, but was slowed by a foot injury.

Harris, 30, played four seasons with the Cowboys before signing a five-year, $17.5 million deal with the Giants. Harris’ released saved the Giants $2.45 million under their salary cap.

The Falcons have visited with linebacker Pernell McPhee.
