The Alliance of America Football to host Atlanta combine

The Alliance of America Football will hold a scouting combine Aug. 25-26 in Atlanta, the league announced Monday.

The league will also have combines in Los Angeles (Aug. 4) and in Houston (Aug. 18).

Teams will hold additional group and individual tryouts in their respective markets this fall.

Players must pay a $175 registration fee. If the are signed by a team, they'll be reimbursed.

The Alliance will feature eight teams with 50-player rosters playing a 10-week regular-season schedule in the spring beginning Feb. 9, 2019 on CBS, followed by two playoff rounds and culminating with the championship game the weekend of April 26-28, 2019.

Alliance Orlando - Steve Spurrier

Alliance Atlanta - Brad Childress

Alliance Memphis - Mike Singletary

Alliance Salt Lake - Dennis Erickson

Alliance Phoenix - Rick Neuheisel

Alliance San Diego - Mike Martz

Alliance Birmingham - Tim Lewis (Former Falcons’ secondary coach under Mike Smith)

Alliance San Antonio - Mike Riley
