With three exhibition games to play, the Falcons’ brain trust has started looking at different scenarios for the cutdown from a 90-man roster to 53-man roster.

The Falcons are set to host the Kansas City Chiefs at 7 p.m. Friday at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The team must cutdown to 53 players by 4 p.m. Sept. 4.

“It’s actually a fun part of the puzzle with Thomas (Dimitroff) and myself, we just had a meeting on that this morning on who can be slotted into some of those spots,” Falcons coach Dan Quinn said on Tuesday. “I would say when you get to roster spot 48, 49, 50 to 53, sometimes those are fluid. Sometimes they are pretty set.

“It feels like you are always tweaking that and always looking to see if somebody can make a move into that spot. Or from who might be developmental, I think they are past that. They are going to go and help.”
