Matt Ryan on Forbes’ list of top celebrity earners for 2018

Matt Ryan more than made the cut for the highest-paid celebrities in the world, according to Forbes.

The publication released its annual list of the top 100 paid celebrities for 2018 and it included Ryan, the Falcons quarterback, as the highest-paid NFL player. According to the publication, Ryan is No. 29 with at an estimated earnings of $67.3 million. The figure included his recently signed contract extension and endorsement deals with Nike, Gatorade, Delta, IBM, Mercedes-Benz and Banana Republic.

Other NFL players on the list include No. 36 Matthew Stafford ($59.5 million), No. 67 Drew Brees ($42.9 million), No. 70 Derek Carr ($42.1 million), No. 72 Alex Smith ($41.4 million), No. 87 Trumaine Johnson ($37 million), No. 90 Jimmy Garoppolo ($36.2 million), No. 96 Ryan Tannehill ($35.2 million) and No. 97 Von Miller ($35.1 million).

Boxer Floyd Mayweather is No. 1 with estimated earnings of $285 million. Actor George Clooney is second at $239 million.
