Mason still keeps up with Georgia Tech football

New England guard Shaq Mason is getting ready to make his second Super Bowl start on Sunday.

He still follows the Yellow Jackets.

“I follow Tech nonstop,” Mason said. “I’m hoping those guys will get it going. This year, they were good and things kind of tailed off. But there are in every game. I still love watching them.”

Mason was a dynamic run blocker in college. He had to learn hot pass block up to NFL standards with the Patriots.

“There are players every where,” Mason said. “If it’s in that offense, it’s in that offense. All it is, is getting a shot and taking it. Doing what you’ve got to do to make it.”
