Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones was not too impressed with his latest NFL record.

In the 34-20 loss to the Packers, Jones became the first player in NFL history to have more than 1,400 yards receiving in five consecutive seasons.

“Nothing,” Jones said on Monday when asked what the record meant to him. “I’m trying to find a way to win. All that stuff is always nice, but at the end of the day I’m trying to find ways to win.”

Jones had eight catches for 106 yards and two touchdowns in the loss to the Packers. He currently leads the league in receiving yards at 1,429. He also has 94 catches and five touchdowns. His 109.9 yards receiving per game also leads the league.

“It’s always tough when you lose,” Jones said. “The way we are going to rebound is that we just have to keep working for one another. It starts with practice.”

Jones believes the Falcons can still pull out some victories.

“Mentality wise, we just have to keep going out here and playing for one another,” Jones said. “We have to find ways to win.”

Jones likes the team energy.

“We are out there and we’re competing every game,” Jones aid. “But unfortunately we are not winning ball games.”

The Falcons have started some player evaluations for the future.

“With the new faces and things we have on the team and putting guys in, I didn’t notice,” Jones said. “That’s on the head coach and everybody else to evaluate those players.

“My things is just to have my group and everybody else firing on all cylinders.”

The Falcons are losing because of “self-inflicted” wounds, according to coach Dan Quinn. Jones concurs.

“Just the details on certain plays,” Jones said. “Just no gray areas. We are a hard-fighting team. We go out there and we fight every Sunday. It’s just details. We have to lock in on those things.”
