Broncos HC Vance Joseph sounds off on Patriots ahead of crucial Week 10 matchup

The Denver Broncos have their backs against the wall. They’ve now lost four-straight games, including allowing the Philadelphia Eagles to score 51 points against them in Week 9. Obviously, a matchup with the New England Patriots in Week 10 isn’t ideal, but it’s a spot where Vance Joseph’s team really needs to up their game and snap this streak.

After a promising start to the season when the team was 3-1, it’s been all downhill since then. While Joseph had plenty to say about the Patriots as a whole, he specifically spoke about their football IQ, as USA TODAY’s Lindsay Jones reported.

“It’s a smart team. It’s a detailed team. They play with great focus and detail … If our football IQ is not high enough to match it, we cannot beat this team.”

Joseph knows there’s a tall task ahead of him with one of the NFL’s most powerful offenses and a brilliant head coach in Bill Belichick. Even still, this game is overly important for the Broncos season, and could wind up being make-or-break when it comes to their potential playoff chances as well.
