The Falcons have gained a seventh-round draft pick, the NFL announced Friday.

A total of 32 compensatory choices were awarded to 15 teams.

Under the rules for compensatory draft selections, a team losing more or better compensatory free agents (“CFA”) than it acquires in the previous year is eligible to receive compensatory draft picks.

The Falcons lost Patrick DiMarco, Tom Compton, Paul Worrilow, Aldrick Robinson and Eric Weems in 2017 but signed Jack Crawford, Dontari Po and Andre Roberts.

Compensatory free agents are determined by a formula based on salary, playing time and postseason honors. Not every free agent lost or signed by a club is covered by this formula.

The 2018 NFL Draft is April 26-28 in Dallas.
