After Georgia Tech had no players taken in the NFL draft this weekend, at least seven former Yellow Jackets either earned roster spots as undrafted free agents or tryouts at upcoming rookie mini-camps.

The free agents:

Defensive end Antonio Simmons, who will join the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Wide receiver Ricky Jeune, who has agreed on a deal with the Los Angeles Rams.

Safety Corey Griffin, who was picked up after the draft by the San Francisco 49ers.

The players attending rookie mini-camps on a tryout basis:

Defensive back Lance Austin, who will compete for a roster spot at the Falcons' mini-camp this coming weekend at Flowery Branch.

Defensive back Lawrence Austin, who will also get a chance to make the Falcons offseason roster.

Center Freddie Burden, who has a tryout opportunity with the Cleveland Browns. Burden was a draft hopeful a year ago but went unselected and unsigned as he was still rehabilitating an ankle injury at the time of the draft.

Defensive end KeShun Freeman, who will go to the Baltimore Ravens rookie mini-camp this coming weekend and, if he isn't signed to their 90-man roster, will go to the New Orleans Saints rookie mini-camp the following weekend.
