7 returning Georgia Bulldogs players to watch, 2018 offense

7 returning Bulldogs to watch in 2018

Few running backs in Georgia Bulldogs history have performed at the level we saw last season from Nick Chubb or Sony Michel.

Their talents have taken them to the NFL (the Cleveland Browns and New England Patriots, respectively), so the defending SEC champs will need to turn to other players, such as sophomore Jake Fromm (quarterback) and D’Andre Swift (running back), as they try to build on the success of last season’s run to the CFP title game.

Chubb and Michel combined to gain 66.4 percent of Georgia’s net rushing yards and 39.4 percent of the team’s total yards on offense. Also, the two running backs accounted for 47.8 percent of the touchdowns scored by the offense.

Other key players whose eligibility expired include leading receiver Javon Wims and offensive lineman Isaiah Wynn.
