LSU was slapped with a $100,000 fine by the SEC Monday after fans rushed the field following the Tigers’ 36-16 over Georgia Saturday in Baton Rouge, La.

Fans rushing the field is a violation of the SEC’s ‘access to competition area policy’ and is LSU’s second violation since the policy was enacted in 2004. The next violation would trigger a $250,000 fine from the SEC.
