Georgia Tech lands first commitment of 2018 class

Georgia Tech has its first commitment of the 2018 signing class. Peach County High linebacker JaQuez Jackson announced his plans to play for the Yellow Jackets Sunday evening via his Twitter account.

Jackson is a three-star prospect (Rivals) and rated the No. 73 player in the state of Georgia. He had listed scholarship offers from Wake Forest, Maryland, West Virginia and Iowa, among others.

Jackson indicated that he received the Tech offer Sunday, and said that his decision was “crystal clear.” He is listed at 6-foot-1 and 216 pounds.
