Georgia Tech’s 15th commit is D’Quan Douse of Savannah

Georgia Tech linebacker Victor Alexander led the Yellow Jackets in tackles in 2017, with 60, and had two sacks. Tech linebacker Brant Mitchell recorded 51 total tackles in 2017, the second most among players returning for 2018. Tech linebacker Bruce Jordan-Swilling recorded 34 tackles as a freshman in 2017. Georgia Tech picked up yet another commitment Thursday, as defensive end D'Quan Douse of Calvary Day School in Savannah accepted a scholarship offer. Douse made the announcement from his Twitter account. Tech's class now stands at 15.

Douse is the fifth prospect to commit to joining the Yellow Jackets’ 2019 signing class in the past three days. Listed at 6-foot-3 and 242 pounds, Douse is a three-star prospect ranked the No. 168 player in the state of Georgia (247Sports Composite). Other reported offers include Kentucky, Central Florida, South Florida, Tulane and Navy. Douse has also performed well enough in the classroom to have also earned scholarship offers from Ivy League schools.

Douse was recruited by A-backs coach Lamar Owens.

Douse is the first defensive end to join the class.
