Former California guard Jaylen Brown takes nasty fall in NBA game

On the night his pro team clinched a playoff bid, Boston Celtics guard Jaylen Brown showed off his athleticism with a highlight reel-worthy dunk but followed that with a scary fall to the ground.

Brown’s injury came late in the third quarter of the Celtics’ 117-109 win at Minnesota. The former Cal guard had 14 points and 5 rebounds in 28 minutes before his fall and did not return.

Brown averaged 14.6 points, 5.4 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game for the Golden Bears in 2015-16, helping them into the NCAA tournament. He left after one season and was taken third overall by Boston in the 2016 NBA Draft.
