Former Georgia Tech defensive lineman Cortez Alston has transferred to Pennsylvania. Alston, from the Westminster School, announced his decision on Twitter on Friday.
Alston left the team prior to spring practice after sitting out the 2017 team as a redshirt. In transferring to an FCS school, Alston will be able to play immediately and have four years of eligibility.
At the time of Alston’s commitment to Tech, his other finalist was Penn, where he had the opportunity to study in the prestigious Wharton School.
