When the dust settled around noon, the thinking was that the Bulldogs closed out their 2018 class with a defensive flair.
The nation’s No. 2 CB, then the Nos. 2 and 5 OLBs all chose Georgia. The Bulldogs didn’t get that big receiver that the roster needed for 2018, but it was going to be okay.
But then Kirby Smart got out the shoehorn. He found a way to squeeze a 6-foot-4.5 receiver with 4.4 speed in the 40 to the 2018 class, too.
That was made possible by Tommy Bush‘s decision. The nation’s No. 37 receiver prospect also chose the Bulldogs on National Signing Day.
Bush had really liked UGA since his official visit back in December. He was also able to join the nation’s No. 1 class for 2018.
Rick Sandidge, a 4-star DT for the class of 2018, is also set to make his decision at 2:30 p.m. this afternoon. It doesn’t seem plausible that there is any room left for another 4-star DT, too.
