Young Bull takes on NBA
Former Alabama guard Collin Sexton will find out his NBA fate on June 21. When he is selected, he will be the first Alabama
player since Richard Hendrix in 2008 to be drafted. Sexton is a projected lottery pick who could go in the top 10.
Many outlets have Sexton going in the 7-10 range, with the New York Knicks at pick No. 9 as a popular destination. That
would put him alongside all-star forward Kristaps Porzingis.
Sexton’s athleticism makes him an ideal point guard in this era of the NBA. His former coach, Alabama’s Avery
Johnson, said his transition to the NBA is “going
to be lights out.”

Two major NCAA rule changes passed, and both of them will affect Alabama. First, players can now participate in four games
without burning a redshirt. This will give young players the opportunity to get more
experience than before.
The other rule deals with transfers. Players can now transfer to any school without
getting permission from their coaches. They will also receive a scholarship if the other team awards them one.
Best of SEC
The SEC will most likely be loaded with talent during the 2018 season. Five SEC teams finished in the top 25 last season.
Many of those teams are returning a lot of starters or have talented reserves waiting to take their place. AL.com picked its best
of the best before the upcoming season. Multiple Alabama players are mentioned.
