When does the Hawks season start?


The Hawks open the 2018-19 season Wednesday, Oct. 17, at Madison Square Garden against the Knicks (7 p.m., FSSO).

The Hawks will make their lone national television appearance in the debut of Atlanta’s State Farm Arena against the Dallas Mavericks Oct. 24.

This season marks the 50th anniversary of the team’s move from St. Louis to Atlanta. The team will wear special throwback uniforms during several games throughout the season.
