Nothing sums up the Hawks’ current road trip like getting stuck in an elevator.

Literally.

Several members of the team, coaches and support personnel were stuck in an elevator in Los Angeles for several minutes on Tuesday. Players Malcolm Delaney and John Collins posted about the incident on social media.

The Hawks are 0-4 on a five-game road trip that ends Wednesday at the Nuggets. In two of the losses, the Hawks could not hold late leads. They fell to the Suns to begin the trip and to the Clippers on Monday for the tough defeats. The Hawks also lost to the Trail Blazers and Lakers on the trip.

In addition to Delaney and Collins, Taurean Prince and Miles Plumlee were among the players stuck in the elevator as they were going to see principal owner Tony Ressler. According to Delaney, the players were stuck for about 15 minutes.

“It wasn’t too bad lol,” Delaney wrote in a message to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The Hawks played back-to-back games against the Lakers and Clippers on Sunday and Monday before departing Los Angeles for Denver.

The Hawks have the NBA’s worst record at 10-30, 20 games below .500 one game shy of the season’s halfway point.
