Prince to join Hawks teammate Collins in Rising Stars game

Hawks forward Taurean Prince will replace injured Bucks guard Malcolm Brogdon in the Rising Stars game during All-Star weekend, the NBA announced Friday.

Prince and rookie teammate John Collins are among 10 players on the U.S. team that will face a squad of international players Feb. 16 in Los Angeles. The rosters feature rookie and second-year players.

Prince, 23, has started all 51 games in his second season with the Hawks. Entering Friday night’s game at Boston he was averaging 12 points and five rebounds in 30.1 minutes per game.

The Bucks announced Friday that Brogdon, who played at Greater Atlanta Christian, is expected to miss six to eight weeks because of a partially torn left quadriceps tendon.
