Hawks upgrade Muscala to probable

The Hawks will likely have Mike Muscala back when they begin a five-game western road trip at the Suns Tuesday. The forward/center was upgraded to probable on the team’s injury list released Monday.

Muscala has been out after suffering a left ankle sprain on Nov. 3 and has missed the past 27 games due to the injury

The Hawks recalled Muscala from the G League on Sunday after he played a total of three games in two stints as he worked his way back.

Hawks player season review: Isaiah Taylor
Hawks player season review: Isaiah Taylor
The Hawks signed point guard Isaiah Taylor in October, after he’d played just four games with the Rockets in 2016-17. After five years, the Hawks are conducting another search for a head coach. The team and Mike Budenholzer mutually agreed to part ways on Wednesday. Over the next several days I’ll review each Hawks player that was on the roster at the end of the season, in descending order of minutes played.  Previous entries:  After a disappointing performance in 2016-17, Kent Bazemore was much better this season. In terms of Basketball Reference’s Value Over Replacement Player, a box-score...

I don’t see how Mike Budenholzer can remain Hawks coach
Under the circumstances, I don’t see how Mike Budenholzer can remain Hawks head coach. As far as I know, Hawks general manager Travis Schlenk hasn’t ruled out the possibility of keeping Budenholzer as coach even after he seeks out other jobs. But if Budenholzer were to remain it would be, in my view, an unworkable situation for the Hawks...
