Hawks transfer Magette to G-League

The Hawks transferred guard Josh Magette to the Erie BayHawks, the team’s G League affiliate, on Monday.

Magette is on a two-way contract and began the season with the Hawks. He appeared in five games and totaled five points in 19 minutes. He made a 3-pointer and two free throws. He also had three assists and a rebound.

Magette can be with the Hawks for a maximum of 45 days as a two-way player. The team can sign him to the roster should they want him to exceed that total. Magette’s NBA tenure clock began when the BayHawks opened training camp last Wednesday, meaning his NBA tenure is at five days.

Collins said that’s enough makes...

As some teams tank, Budenholzer says Hawks will stay the course

For the first practice after the All-Star break, Hawks coach Mike Budenholzer said he added a “wrinkle here or a new play there” but doesn’t anticipate making any “drastic changes” to the way his team plays over its final 23 games. Mark Cuban says ‘losing is best option’ for Mavs. Do Hawks feel the same?
What Mavericks franchise owner Mark Cuban said on Julius Erving’s podcast Monday isn’t that controversial. It’s just that he said the unspeakable, at least for people in his position. "I'm probably not supposed to say this but, like, I just had dinner with a bunch of our guys the other night, and here we are, you know, we weren't...
