The Hawks will be without Alex Poythress for at least three games after the forward suffered a left knee injury. Poythress was diagnosed with a capsular sprain and bone bruise after an MRI exam. He was injured in the second quarter of Wednesday’s game against the Mavericks and did not return.

Poythress will be miss Saturday’s home game against the Bulls and will not travel on the ensuing two-game road trip to the 76ers and Cavaliers. He will be re-evaluated after the trip.

Poythress has appeared in all four games this season and has averaged 5.3 points and 3.8 rebounds.

In other injury news, guard/forward Daniel Hamilton participated in his second practice on Friday and will be available against the Bulls. He has been out with a tear in his right rotator cuff.
