Hawks rookie forward John Collins was named to the Las Vegas Summer League first team, the NBA announced Monday.

Collins, the first-round pick (No. 19 overall), started all five games for the Hawks and averaged 15.4 points, 9.2 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 23.0 minutes. His field-goal percentage of .593 led all players with at least 50 attempts and his rebound total was tied for fifth. Collins had two double-doubles in the tournament and finished with a plus-36 in the five games.

The Hawks selected Collins after he averaged 19.2 points and 9.8 rebounds in his sophomore year at Wake Forest.

The Lakers’ Lonzo Ball was named the tournament MVP. Joining Ball and Collins on the first team were the Suns’ Josh Jackson, the Mavericks’ Dennis Smith Jr. and the Trail Blazers’ Caleb Swanigan.

The second team was composed of the Pelicans’ Cheick Diallo, the Spurs’ Bryn Forbes, the Lakers’ Kyle Kuzma, the Grizzlies’ Wayne Selden Jr. and the Celtics’ Jayson Tatum.

The MVP and first and second teams were selected by a panel of media members.
