Braves’ Dansby Swanson exits early against Mets

Swanson lined out to center in the second inning and was replaced defensively by Charlie Culberson in the bottom of the inning.

The team declared his exit precautionary. The 24-year-old required time on the disabled list for wrist soreness in May, and appeared bothered following his swing.

The team won’t announce Swanson’s MRI results until Wednesday.

“I haven’t had anything definitive yet on what’s going on,” manager Brian Snitker said. “It was enough that he had to come out, so that’s a concern. It’s a concern until we find out definitively if there’s anything going on.”

Swanson’s hit .239 with a .304 on-base percentage in 478 at-bats. He’s hit 14 homers, collected 59 RBIs and swiped 10 bases while playing gold-glove caliber defense.
