LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. – The left side of the Braves’ infield has played together in only five games this spring, but shortstop Dansby Swanson and third baseman Adonis Garcia could be in the lineup together for most of the last 1 1/2 weeks of camp.

Swanson could play as soon as Sunday after missing two weeks with a strained right side, manager Brian Snitker said Saturday. Garcia, who's missed a week since straining his left hamstring, also is nearing his return.

“Adonis is getting better,” Snitker said. “I think it’ll be maybe Monday, hopefully, for him. Get him a couple of at-bats, four innings or so.”

Garcia was 8-for-24 (.333) with a double, a home run and six RBIs in nine games before leaving a March 11 game after one inning with hamstring tightness.
