Braves to begin sales of single-game NLDS tickets next week

His full name is Ozhaino Jurdy Jiandro Albies. His last name is pronounced “ALL-bies.” He was born Jan. 7, 1997 in Willemstad, Curacao. Two key former Braves from Curacao are Andruw Jones and Andrelton Simmons. The Braves signed him in July 2013. He made his major league debut Aug. 1, 2017. Albies' home run off Tony Cingrani on Aug. 3 was his first major league homer. That also was the first homer hit by a player born in 1997. He is a switch-hitter, learning to do that in 2013.

The Braves announced that single-game tickets for a potential National League Division Series will go on sale Wednesday.

The Braves lead the National League East Division by 7-1/2 games over the second-place Phillies entering play Friday. The Braves' magic number to clinch the East is 10. That means any combination of Braves victories and Phillies losses that equals 10 will secure the division title for the Braves.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19 to the general public for potential NLDS games at SunTrust Park. A-List members and Braves registered users will have access to tickets through a presale the day before.

From the Braves’ news release:

“A-List members will have a presale opportunity on Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. ET through their online A-List Member account. Braves registered users will also have presale access from noon until 11:59 p.m. ET using a presale code that will be emailed to them. The presale will only be available online at www.braves.com/postseason. Fans that are not a Braves registered user can sign up by 11:59 p.m. ET on Sunday, September 16 at www.braves.com/newsletter to receive an emailed presale code.

“Tickets for the general public will be available online at www.braves.com/postseason as well as the SunTrust Park ticket office. Ticket information for potential National League Championship Series games as well as World Series will be announced on a later date.”

The Braves will begin at 10-game homestand with a 7:35 p.m. game Friday against the Nationals. That is the first of a three-game series against Washington. A three-game series against the Cardinals comes next before a four-game series against the Phillies.

Kevin Gausman of the Braves is scheduled to start against Max Scherzer on Friday night. Julio Teheran and Sean Newcomb are the Braves’ scheduled starters for the rest of the series. The Nationals have not announced their other starters.

The Phillies are scheduled for three home games against the Marlins this weekend and then play host to the Mets for three Monday-Wednesday, before coming to Atlanta.
