How to get a job at Zoo Atlanta

For those who want to broaden their work environment beyond the human species, Zoo Atlanta is offering a job fair.

On Tuesday, Feb. 6, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., prospective seasonal employees can interview at the zoo’s Conservation Action Resource Center.

The Grant Park zoological attraction expects to fill around 50 seasonal positions for jobs that will begin this spring. The zoo will be hiring cashiers, rides attendants, membership sales associates, Safari Camp instructors, ropes course guides, shuttle bus drivers, vault room tellers, gift shop associates and others.

All applicants should bring a resume, and will have an opportunity for a one-on-one interview with a Zoo Atlanta hiring manager. All zoo staff and volunteers are expected to adhere to safety policies and applicable regulations. Zoo Atlanta is an equal opportunity employer.

The zoo’s busy season runs from April through October, and seasonal employees augment the 179 full-time staffers to handle the increased visitorship.

The earliest seasonal workers will report for duty in late February and most will continue through the “Boo at the Zoo” Halloween event at the end of October.

To reach the Conservation Action Resource Center, enter the zoo through the Education Conservation Gate off the Cherokee Avenue parking lot. Zoo Atlanta is at 800 Cherokee Ave., SE.
