These figures represent the money generated by each jurisdiction in Georgia from a surcharge on all traffic tickets, for the years 2008-2012. Larger jurisdictions have more than one court generating this revenue.
Statewide, the average amount of ticket revenue generated per capita is $105.48 (that figure is $116.97 for the five-county metro Atlanta area). As the chart below shows, towns such as Warwick or Oliver generate around $3,000 per capita.
