The Georgia General Assembly at a glance for Thursday, Day 4 of the 2018 legislative session:

Last address: Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal delivers his final State of the State address in the chamber of the state House of Representatives at 11 a.m. on Thursday.

Budget: The governor will propose the state's $26 billion budget, which will be reviewed in joint House-Senate budget hearings starting next week.

In the chambers: The Georgia General Assembly has met every day this week, holding short and uneventful sessions. Unless the state House and Senate approve an adjournment resolution, legislators might have to return to the Capitol for a fifth business day on Friday.

In the committees: The Senate Judiciary Commission voted 8-2 to approve a measure to make adoptions easier. The latest version of House Bill 159 no longer includes "religious liberty" provisions.
