Twin 9-year-old girls have been reunited with their father after they were allegedly kidnapped Wednesday from their school bus stop in Plymouth.
Plymouth police said the girls got off their school bus around 4 p.m. and went into a store.
That's when police said their mother's boyfriend, Craig Beaudoin,38, kidnapped them and took them to his home in Lewiston, Maine where he lives with the twins’ mother, 35-year-old Chereese Ford.
Police said Ford does not have custody of the girls and hasn’t seen them in years.
"It doesn't appear they were harmed in any way, but it does appear they were forcibly taken," Michael Botieri, of the Plymouth Police Department, said.
“It was scary. I’m sure it was scary for them and it quickly became very scary for us as well,” Botieri said
Ford and Beaudoin have each been charged with 2 counts of Kidnapping, 2 counts of assault and battery on a child, and conspiracy to kidnap.
Both are jailed in Maine, where they're scheduled for arraignment.
