Acting on requests for two downtown events this fall, the Woodstock City Council has approved temporary street closures for an outdoor art market, and a temporary alcohol license for a craft beer festival.

Elm Street Cultural Arts Village, organizer of Art on the Green, requested the closures of Market Street at Mill, Elm and Oak streets, and Market just north of Maple Street, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22.

The event, on the Elm Street Event Green and Market Street, will draw about 1,500 attendees. There will be music, food and beer and wine served under the applicant's current alcohol license. Information: https://bit.ly/2w71Epz

Separately, the council approved Revival South’s request for a temporary alcohol license to sell beer and wine at Cadence Fair 2018.

The event, with live music, food and the beers of Reformation Brewery, will run from noon to 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, at 111 Elm St., the Elm Street Stage, Market Street and the parking lot behind Truck & Tap. About 10,000 people are expected. Information: https://bit.ly/2Mgrjaj
