A water main break has Buford Highway shut down in both directions in Doraville, authorities said.

Nothing stops garbage collection in DeKalb County.

Well, at least a water main break doesn’t.

In the midst of a major main break affecting dozens of businesses, schools, hospitals, goverment offices and homes, the county announced that the break will not affect trash pickup for residents and commercial businesses.

So, while your water might be out or pressure low, still be sure to set your trash out by the curb. Check out the county's website for the full sanitation schedule.

The water outage was caused Wednesday morning when a 48-inch transmission main broke on Buford Highway in Doraville.
