Things to do in North Fulton on July 4th

Still wondering what do for the Fourth of July? Here’s a list of family-friendly events going on around North Fulton.

Sandy Springs

Skies will be lit up for the annual Sandy Springs Stars and Stripes Celebration. Community members are encouraged to come listen to music from the band Shiloh, beginning at 7:30 p.m. Fireworks begin at 9:45 p.m.

Pets, tents, outdoor cooking, alcohol and personal sparklers are not permitted, city officials said.
Parking will be available in the Concourse Parking Decks five and six.

Johns Creek

Celebrate 4th of July a day earlier at Johns Creek Independence Day Celebration. The event will be held July 3 starting at 6 p.m. at Newton Park. Food vendors Big-C’s Chicago Kitchen, Cousins Maine Lobster, Kona Ice, King of Pops and Hurricane Grill will be in the park.

Fireworks will begin just after sunset.

Alpharetta

If you’re in the Alpharetta area, celebrate the 4th at Wills Park. The city will kick off their celebration at 6 p.m. Attendees can look forward to barbecue, hot dogs, hamburgers, Italian ice and ice cream from vendors. A fireworks show will be held rain or shine, city officials said.

Parking will be available at the park.

Alcohol, tobacco, charcoal grills and personal fireworks are not permitted. Small propane grills are allowed with permit.

Roswell

The 19th annual Roswell Fireworks Extravaganza will be held at Roswell High School. The event will begin at 5:30 p.m. with inflatables and carnival games in the kids zone. Tickets for kids zone will be available for purchase. Get 1 ticket for $1, 12 tickets for $10 or purchase a $20 wristband for unlimited access.

Food vendors and live music will be featured.

Fireworks are expected to begin at dark, city officals said.
