These roads will be closed for the Atlanta St. Patrick’s Day Parade

As it has for many years, the Atlanta St. Patrick's Day Parade will be taking over parts of Midtown this weekend.

The parade begins at noon on March 17 along Peachtree Street in Midtown, starting near the Woodruff Arts Center and ending close to the Fox Theatre. There is also a 5K before the parade.

Roads will be closed at different times as the parade proceeds through the neighborhood.

The event, in its 136th year, will include floats, giant flags, clowns, Irish dancers, drill teams, bands and the Bagpipe & Drum Corps.

Atlanta St. Patrick's Parade and 5K. 10 a.m. for the 5K, 12 p.m. for the parade. March 17. The parade is free, $20 to $40 to race. Peachtree Street in Midtown. 404-504-6884. www.atlantastpats.com.
