A Georgia Institute of Technology freshman who was a semifinalist in the Jeopardy! College Championship did not advance to the finals.

But what if Rishab Jain had, and then won the grand prize of $100,000?

The college student said he would’ve spent the winnings on none other than ... “a lifetime supply of Taco Bell.” Jain was recorded saying as much in a video tweeted by the quiz competition.

The materials science and engineering student commented on that post to clarify that he prefers Mexican pizzas and Crunchwrap Supremes.

Jain, from Memphis, Tennessee, was one of 15 students representing different campuses in the contest. He made it to the semifinals by winning $20,100 in an early round, but was defeated in an episode that aired Wednesday by another contestant with a state tie — Dhruv Gaur, a freshman from Gainesville, Georgia.

If Gaur wins, it will be the second time in a row someone from Georgia takes the cake. Lilly Chin, a Westminster grad from Decatur, won the 2017 Jeopardy College Championship. Later that year she competed on the Tournament of Champions, finishing in third place during a semifinal.

The contestants had the chance to ask Chin a question during an interview. Jain asked her about her luckiest moment on the show, a topic he'd also discussed in a postgame confessional video after his win. "Luck turns in your favor sometimes and sometimes it doesn't," he said.

Gaur, who represents Brown University, will appear on the show for the finals Thursday evening at 7:30 p.m.
