See all the Georgia schools involved in the 2018 Shuler Hensley Awards

The 2018 Georgia High School Musical Theatre Awards, which honor the best in the state’s high school theater, are coming up.

Also known as the Shuler Hensley Awards, more than 70 schools from 29 Georgia counties entered in the statewide competition this year, according to a press release. A live awards show with a red carpet, student performances and a live orchestra will air on Georgia Public Broadcasting on April 19.

Last year, nearly 60 Fulton County students were involved in the program, with three schools taking home accolades. Sixteen DeKalb students took part in the 2017 event.
