If you need a place to watch college football on Sept. 8, head to Alpharetta.
The city is hosting its sixth annual Grilling and Gridiron event to benefit The Lionheart School. The Alpharetta-based private non-profit school was established in 2000 and specializes in educating children with autism and other neurodevelopmental diagnoses.
Jekyll Brewing is also a sponsor.
Attendees will get to enjoy SEC football on a giant LED screen. The event begins at 1:30 p.m. at the Foodtruck Alley parking lot on Old Roswell Street.

A $20 ticket lets attendees chow down on grilled foods until 5 p.m. Beer and wine tents will stay open until the Georgia vs. South Carolina game ends. That one kicks off at 3:30 p.m.
In addition to great food and craft beer, there will also be children’s activities. And the Alpharetta Farmer’s Market is just a short walk down the street.
Tickets can be purchased at the gate or bought online at the event website.
