Sandy Springs is moving toward adoption of a $463.4 million budget for the 2019 fiscal year that calls for the millage rate to remain unchanged at 4.731 mills and provides capital funding to address what officials call a “significant backlog of existing infrastructure deficiencies.”

Among the major spending points: roughly $7.7 million for transportation infrastructure, $1.5 million for storm water infrastructure, $4.5 million for land acquisitions and $285,325 for park projects, according to a budget presentation.

The approximately $110.5 million general fund provides for about $17.3 million for general government contracts for city services, $30.2 million for personnel and relate benefits, $33.5 million for operations and equipment, $17.2 million for capital improvement programs, and $12.3 million for other special funds.
