Weather permitting, crews for the Georgia Department of Transportation on Tuesday, May 29, will begin repaving 1.5 miles of Bill Arp Road (Ga. 5) in Douglas County.

Work to correct the road’s deteriorating condition will continue until Monday, June 4; the project will extend from York Drive north to I-20 in Douglasville, according to GDOT. Milling, inlay and paving resurfacing are planned.

Motorists should expect some traffic delays and intermittent lane closures, and are reminded to reduce their speeds in work zones, GDOT said.
