Police are still searching for an Uber Eats delivery driver accused of shooting and killing a customer in Buckhead.
Ryan Thornton, 30, of Atlanta, ordered food via the smartphone app about 11:30 p.m. Saturday, officials said. The driver delivered the order to Thornton’s residence in the 2800 block of Pharr Court South.
As Thornton walked away from the car with his order, “words may have been exchanged” between him and the delivery driver, Atlanta police spokeswoman Stephanie Brown said.
Thornton was shot multiple times and the driver left the scene in a white Volkswagen, according to police.
Thornton was rushed to Grady Memorial Hospital, where he died.
