As Memorial Day approaches, you may be running around and making sure you haven’t forgotten anything.

• Sunscreen.

• Umpteen bags of ice.

• An assortment of buns that adhere to multiple dietary restrictions.

• The new dog or cat you’re going to welcome into your family forever.

If that last one sounds good to you, know that LifeLine Animal Project is offering a fee-waived Memorial Day Weekend promotion.

Every animal at the shelter may be adopted for no fee from Friday through Sunday; the shelter will be closed on Memorial Day. The cat or dog will already be vaccinated, spayed or neutered and microchipped.
